Lime Tree Village always looks a picture and everyone who visits from residents, guests, visiting staff or contractors, says how spectacular the grounds are. The residents and staff work very hard to maintain the very high standards we have here. Therefore, this year we thought we would enter the village into our local Rugby in Bloom competition, run by the local council and held every year. There are various categories which the competition covers and we were advised to enter the ‘Industrial Section’.
Late in July five independent judges visited Lime Tree and were shown around the grounds by Michael Bayliss. Several weeks later we were informed that we had come third in our section and the village manager and maintenance supervisor went along to the presentation evening to collect our certificate which now sits proudly in our reception area.
On the back of our success this year, we would like to enter again next year and also encourage our allotment group to enter too.
