Debden Grange, Newport

With work on our multi-million pound retirement village underway in Newport, we are holding a public open day offering an insight into the luxury living options available, as well as local employment opportunities.

Debden Grange is our latest retirement village with the first phase of seven, two-bedroom cottages due for completion by late spring 2019.

The public are invited to join us for our open day on Saturday, February 9 between 10am and 4pm at The Residence, Buntens Barn in High Street, Newport.

Marketing Suite, Debden Grange, Retirement VillagesVisitors will be able to discover more about the village with the help of an impressive 3D model, as well as chatting with Retirement Villages Group Ltd regional sales manager Chris Buck and sales consultants Lisa Marie Jones and Carol Willis to find out more about the properties planned.

Retirement Villages Group Ltd estates manager Sean Corney will also be on hand for anyone wishing to find out about the employment opportunities that the development will bring to the village and surrounding area.

Sean said: “Our village will be part of the wider Newport community, and, as such, we want to be supporting the local economy where we can through job opportunities, using local suppliers, and engagement with businesses, schools, as well as social groups and clubs.”

Retirement Villages Group Ltd will be looking for external contractors to help with maintenance and grounds work around the opening of the first phase.

The recruitment process for a Village Manager at Debden Grange is expected to begin later this year. A further 20+ jobs will be created in early 2020.

Sean added: “While these jobs seem a while away, we will need contractor support almost immediately, and we are also keen to start taking details of anyone who lives locally who would like to be considered for these future positions now. We would like to hear from anyone wanting to register their forward interest.”

Following the initial phase, an additional 10 cottages will follow, alongside 64 one and two-bedroom apartments, offering a wide range of styles and layouts to choose from.

In addition to the open day, regional sales manager Chris Buck will be hosting an informal talk at the village’s sales and marketing suite on Friday, February 15 at 10.30am. The focus will be on the benefits of living in a retirement village, the lifestyle and what will be on offer at Debden Grange. Refreshments will also be served.

Properties at Debden Grange are currently being sold off plan, with more details available here.
