Wendy recently retired from Thamesfield Retirement Village after 19 years of service.

The staff at Thamesfield nominated Wendy for the Lifetime Achievement Award at The National Care Awards, which takes place on the 24th November in London. And we were thrilled to hear that Wendy has been picked as a finalist.

The award ceremony is devised to celebrate the very best people in the long-term care sector, highlighting excellence and rewarding those who work tirelessly to provide consistently outstanding care.

The Lifestyle Achievement in Care Award that Wendy is a finalist for will be made to an exceptional person who has committed a significant portion of their life to working in a care home, or in social care, in the community or in sheltered housing, and has made a substantial difference to the quality of life of the people they have worked with.

Everyone at Thamesfield Village wish Wendy the best of luck. The winner will be announced on the 24th November 2017.
