Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire

What is there to do nearby?

The retirement village is on the edge of the beautiful and historic town of Henley-on-Thames, home to the famous annual rowing regatta and Henley Festival.

This Oxfordshire town is a popular tourist attraction with lots of small, independent shops and restaurants as well as the usual high street names – perfect to take your retirement living experience to the next level.

Other facilities such as supermarkets, a cinema, Post Office, hotels and a railway station are all within walking distance from the village.

Where else can we explore?

Despite the laid-back and peaceful setting of Thamesfield, Maidenhead, Reading, and Windsor are easily accessible if you need to head into a busier setting. London, and all of its culture, is also so easily accessible by car or in under an hour from the local train station.

Need more choices?

The surrounding Oxfordshire countryside makes the Thames Valley a popular visitor location for these retirement homes, and there are many local attractions to enjoy. The Chiltern Valley Winery and Brewery, Henley River and Rowing Museum, and Warburg Nature Reserve stand out as trips to pop on your ‘to-do list’ which hopefully once you live here will consist of less of the chores and more of the fun!

Easy links to travel further afield

The railway station at Henley-on-Thames offers great connections to mainline routes – easy to get to from the retirement village itself.

We are very close to the M3, M4(J8/9), M25, and M40(J/4) Motorways and if jet-setting is on the cards you can be at Heathrow in under an hour.
