Generous residents at Lime Tree Village have raised more than £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation through a series of fundraising initiatives.

These culminated with a coffee morning on Friday 10 March attended by over 100 people. We had tombola, a raffle and stalls offering homemade cakes and chutneys, cards, gifts and books.

“Everyone rallies round for good causes here,” said Pat Beasley, who chairs our Residents Association. “The British Heart Foundation is at the forefront in the fight against heart disease, so we proudly support it each and every year.”

Our hardworking manager Patrick Johnson added: “Lime Tree Village is a community of warm-hearted residents who regularly make a difference to the lives of others. I’d like to thank those responsible for organising the coffee morning as well as everyone who attended and donated so generously. Well done all!”

The British Heart Foundation initiative at Lime Tree Village began at its photography club. A number of residents decided to put their camera skills to good use, taking commissions from other residents and charging a nominal fee, then donating this to the charity.
