Local MP Anne Marie Morris visits The Priory

MP visit:
Anne Marie Morris, our local MP, made an informal visit to The Priory recently after Teresa Baverstock, the chairperson of our Residents Association, made contact with her.

After enjoying coffee and mixing freely with The Priory’s residents Anne Marie made a tour of the building and the grounds. She loved our little Chapel in the Woods, and commented frequently on the lovely feeling the whole village exudes.

National Garden Scheme talk and slideshow:
In September we had a talk and slideshow from Miranda Allhuson, Devon County Organiser for the NGS Open Gardens Annual Events. She delivered a wonderful and interesting presentation, even going back to how it all started with gardens opening to the public to raise funds and awareness of District Nursing.

This led on to beautiful pictures of gardens in Devon, thus whetting appetites for us to go and visit. It was a lively, fun filled presentation, which was so well received, and followed by a wine and canapés social gathering for all.
