Peaceful yet so convenient

The Priory is situated within the beautiful South Devon countryside, overlooking the village of Abbotskerswell where you can find a rich assortment of amenities including the local church of St Mary’s, a post office, a small shop and a number of pubs and country inns. Abbotskerswell also has its own cricket club and there is an 18-hole golf course two miles away.

A 10-minute drive from the village is the historic market town of Totnes where one can visit Darlington Hall Estate and Gardens and Berry Pomeroy Castle so there is plenty to keep you and your visitors entertained.

For beach lovers, the coast is five miles to the east with the English Riviera (Torbay) virtually on the doorstep, while to the west is Dartmoor National Park.

The travel links from the village are also fantastic; the A38 is close by, offering easy access to Plymouth in the south and Exeter to the north.
And in the neighboring town of Newton Abbot sits the mainline rail link into London.

Directions: (using the new South Devon Highway)

Travelling from North:

  • Take the A380 left off the A38 (signed to Torquay)
  • Bypass Newton Abbot on your right
  • Enter the new South Devon Highway (signed Torquay) for a SHORT distance
  • Take the slip road on the left (signed Kingskerswell)
  • 2nd exit at roundabout
  • 2nd exit on next roundabout (follow Decoy Ind. Estate signs)
  • 1st exit on next roundabout (follow Decoy signs)
  • Over one-way traffic lights (over small railway bridge)
  • Take sharp left turning up hill on Priory Road
  • The Priory will be found on the left hand side at the top of hill

Travelling from South:

  • Take the South Devon Highway, out of Torquay
  • Take left slip road signed to Kingskerswell
  • Take first exit at next TWO roundabouts (signed Decoy Industrial Estate)
  • Over one-way traffic lights (over small railway bridge)
  • Take sharp left turning up hill on Priory Road
  • The priory will be found on the left hand side at top of hill
