Tropical fruit tasting

Residents of Thamesfield Village were treated to some tropical delights recently when Annabel Vere, the weekend activities co-ordinator at the village arranged a tropical fruit tasting session.

Fruits on offer included dragon fruit, kiwi, guava, passion fruit, mango and even star fruit – a fruit native to Southeast Asia. The fruit has distinctive ridges running down its sides and when cut, can resemble a star – hence its name!

Residents thoroughly enjoyed tasting the different fruits and it proved an enjoyable afternoon for all involved.
