A busy March for Elmbridge Village

Diary posted

26th March 2018

March is set to be very busy for the residents of Elmbridge Retirement Village with lots of new additions to the social calendar taking shape.

The new restaurant in Elmbridge Manor is proving to be very popular and there are now regular supper evenings and fish and chip dinners.

Wine and Wisdom evenings are also a new additions to the social calendar, these events are normally held on a weekend and residents can enjoy an evening or mixed brain teasers and quizzes. There’s also a raffle! A very relaxed, fun evening.

There is also a musical concert planned, with the Surrey Serenaders booked to entertain all attendees. A great event for all of the music and dance lovers at the village.

Another event is being organised by the allotment co-ordinator at Elmbridge called the ‘Ribbon of Poppies’. There is a national movement to make a ribbon of poppies throughout the UK as a remembrance of the centennial of the end of WW1. Elmbridge Village is going to take part with the aid of allotment holders and, hopefully others, in planting seeds in suitable areas. Stay tuned for pictures!

And fingers crossed, if the weather improves, croquet will be back on the social calendar! The wonderful gardeners have agreed to have the lawn ready for the Easter weekend so fingers crossed for fine weather.

A busy March ahead of us!
