Residents at Cedars Village have welcomed the re-instatement of their greatly valued bus service.

The 103 bus service had been removed from the timetable by operator Carousel at the start of the year, due to revamp work being carried out at Watford High Street.

Now, after much discussion and campaigning, the service has been re-instated; much to the delight of the Cedars Retirement Village residents.

Village manager Colin Foulger said: “On behalf of the village and our many residents who use this bus service as a vital social bridge to wider community, we are delighted that ‘people power’ has won the day.

“Our thanks to all those who supported the campaign over the months, and to bus operator Carousel for re-instating to what many of our residents is a lifeline.”
