Farewell to John Worthy

On Wednesday 27th September at 12.00, residents, staff, ex employees and contractors gathered in the ballroom to say Farewell to John Worthy. John had worked for Cedars Village for 13 years as Head of Maintenance and lived on site. He was a great character and a friend to all, helping residents and staff day or night. John who has now retired to Canada can be seen in his Canadian get up and was given a good send off. Steven Hawkes has now started as Head of Maintenance and we wish him well in his new role.

Macmillan Coffee Morning

On Friday 29th September Cedars held their annual MacMillan Coffee Morning. On sale was bric a brac, cakes, preserves, books, craft, knitted items and cards. Residents enjoyed coffee and biscuits and a mammoth raffle. Over £1000 was raised for this worthy cause. Congratulations to all those that made this a successful morning.
