Residents at Mayford Grange enjoyed a delicious feast of Italian treats at a recent Italian Supper event. Travelling around the world on a dining extravaganza, this menu was created by the talented village catering team to give a real taste of Italy.
Diners had a choice of traditional dishes including onion, tomato and pancetta soup or rolled aubergines stuffed with raisins, capers and walnuts, followed by wrapped salon with Dijon mustard and mascarpone sauce, lemon chicken with honey and rosemary or beef stuffed cannelloni with pesto and béchamel sauce!
If anyone had any room left, they could choose from Zabaione with Limoncello and strawberries, or a selection of Italian cheeses served with fruit.
The evening was hugely popular and thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.
We are looking forward to seeing which country the residents will ‘visit’ next!
