At Mayford Grange we do our very best to support good causes, with staff and residents alike organising fundraising initiatives whenever they can. Our latest charity efforts raised a combined total of nearly £500. Here are the details:

Coffee morning fundraiser:
On 30 September we held a coffee morning in the Clubhouse Lounge to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Mayford Grange resident Jill Stroud, our receptionist Jo Hill-Gibbins and Village Manager Gill Voizey sold tea, coffee and homemade cakes, which were snapped up by generous residents. The event was very well attended and we raised £160. We would like to give a big thanks to all who came and supported this worthy cause.

Christmas card charity sale:
In October two of our residents, Jill Stroud and Mary Hockey, sold Christmas cards on behalf of Woking Hospice, which provides palliative care and support to people with terminal illnesses and their families. Everyone involved was extremely generous, bringing the total raised to an incredible £300. Well done all!
