Spring has sprung at The Priory

8th April 2015

March came and went in the blink of an eye for residents at The Priory. The daffodils are now in full bloom and the village social calendar had a spring clean, benefiting from a number of new activities.

Rested and rejuvenated after the winter months, residents requested new exercise classes to be introduced and it wasn’t long before they were up and running.

Pilates in the afternoon, Tai Chi in the morning and even an armchair exercise class for those that wish to take it easy.

The Easter weekend saw a flurry of activity including an Easter Tea Party, and a Big Breakfast for the Mercy Ships Charity. The breakfast was a national event to raise money for the hospital ships that provide aid to disadvantaged children in Africa.

Now that the weather is warmer, the evenings are lighter and the spring flowers are coming out, residents have been joining together to take walks around the 5 acres of picturesque grounds.

Below is a selection of photos taken by residents: the first is a herd of cattle in the surrounding countryside. In the second photo are hellebores and the third daffodils, both of which are true representations of the gardens currently.
