Priory resident hosts enamelling talk and workshop

Diary posted

20th January 2017

Early in January Priory resident Gillie Byrom gave us a talk and illustrated show about her recent trip to Japan, which was by invitation to further her teaching experience of making enamelled images on metal. This was a very interesting afternoon, full of humour and colour, and so well received by our residents.

On Saturday 14th January Gillie also ran a workshop, here in the Priory, teaching about the various processes involved in painting and firing enamels on metal. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and we learned a lot. Gillie’s knowledge knows no bounds!
