Tearful farewell for Sharon

It was a tearful farewell for our head gardener Sharon O’Leary recently. The East Grinstead mum of two has moved north with her family but only after two very emotional leaving get-togethers with residents and staff in the village.

Sharon has helped transform the seven acres of village grounds into immaculately managed lawns combined with shrubs, hanging baskets, bedding plants, a wildflower meadow and a stunning rhododendron drive. She now passes over the reins to her assistant Steve Moore who joined the Charters’ team from Lingfield Park.

Both residents and staff made a huge fuss of Sharon on her final week and she received some lovely leaving gifts – a token for her work and dedication to helping create a village that looks so breathtaking.
