Christmas arrives at Charters

Diary posted

23rd December 2016

All through December our residents have been getting into the Christmas spirit. First we hosted a seasonal fair, where local businesses and craftspeople set up stalls in Charters Towers.

An enormous range of gifts and trinkets were up for sale to the delight of residents, who turned out in great numbers to do a little Christmas shopping.

There was a wine tasting evening and a Thai supper the following week, and then we enjoyed a wonderful morning of carol singing from pupils at Cumnor House School. The children gave a beautiful performance and brought festive cheer to our village.

Finally, Charters’ residents came together to enjoy a scrumptious Christmas lunch on Wednesday 21 December complete with mulled wine, mince pies and crackers. This was busy too and everyone had a lovely time.

From everybody who lives and works at Charters Village, Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
