Villagers at Roseland Parc enjoyed a visit from Ian Facey-Macleod; who conducted a flower arranging demonstration on Friday 23rd November, using festive flowers and colours from his own garden.
Residents at the Cornish retirement village were given a raffle ticket for the chance to win one of three arrangements that were created on the day.
Winner of one of the arrangements, Jill Tappin said: “It’s a lovely idea to raffle the arrangements at the end and I was delighted to win the biggest arrangements! I have donated it to reception so that everyone can admire it. I am looking forward to seeing another demonstration.”
Once the weather improves, the residents will be taking the minibus to visit his garden in all its glory. But until then, Ian will be making a welcomed return in the Spring.
98-year-old Hazel Boyle said: “I always look forward to seeing Ian and the arrangements he produces. He is extremely knowledgeable and so patient with our questions and queries. I am really looking forward to visiting his garden next year.”
