Every year Roseland Parc hosts a Charity Christmas Fayre and on Wednesday 14 December we had a fantastic afternoon.
It was all hands on deck as our residents helped to man a number of the stalls including Mrs Julie Buckley (Water & Wine stall) Mr Peter Milln (Tombola) and Mrs Margaret Lamb selling the raffle tickets.
Mr Dennis Brown, one of Roseland Parcs’ residents, donned the famous red suit to become our very own Father Christmas for the afternoon and we also had some stallholders from the wider community selling Christmas crafts and local produce. The chosen charity for this year’s Fayre was ShelterBox, a Cornish charity that provide families with emergency shelter and the essentials to survive following a crisis anywhere in the world.
We are proud and delighted to announce that we managed to raise £600 in total for ShelterBox, with the picture to the right showing the official cheque handover to the charity.
