Roseland Parc, Truro

The residents at Roseland Parc held a lovely outdoor barbecue to celebrate the Royal Wedding at the weekend. The restaurant team started early on Saturday morning putting the tables and chairs onto the green in front of the pavilion and hanging red, white and blue bunting all around, to give a really patriotic feel.

Residents watched the wedding ceremony together in the lounge, which created a wonderful celebratory atmosphere and they all really got into the spirit of the day.

After the wedding service, everyone made their way up to the green where they enjoyed a barbecue of burgers, hot dogs, and salads with a glass of Pimms or elderflower pressé. A brass band played throughout the barbecue, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the residents. Not to be outdone by Harry and Meghan, they even had their own wedding cake and petit fours and the happy couple were toasted with a glass of bucks fizz!

All in all it was a wonderful day and the weather was perfect. There was a special Royal quiz and even a raffle with the proceeds going towards the residents annual summer fete.
