Avonpark Village

Limpley Stoke, Wiltshire

Avon Park is entering an exciting new phase, with plans to create 69 new retirement apartments alongside a significant enhancement of the village's communal facilities and outdoor spaces. Designed to support independent living, wellbeing and community connection for years to come, the improvements will build on everything residents already value about life at Avon Park while creating new opportunities to enjoy an even richer village experience.

The vision brings together beautifully designed homes, welcoming social spaces, enhanced wellbeing facilities and thoughtfully landscaped gardens, creating a vibrant and sustainable community that reflects both the character of Avon Park and the surrounding Wiltshire countryside.

Designed Around Connection

A key principle behind the redevelopment is the creation of spaces that bring people together. The new facilities have been designed to encourage everyday connections between residents, visitors, families and the wider local community, supporting the social aspects of healthy ageing while providing welcoming spaces to relax and unwind.

Drawing inspiration from the area's history, landscape and market garden heritage, the interiors will combine natural materials, warm textures and timeless finishes to create spaces that feel calm, comfortable and inviting. Inspired by nearby nature reserves, local stone quarries and the surrounding countryside, the design reflects a strong sense of place while creating contemporary spaces for modern retirement living

Spaces to Meet, Dine and Relax

At the heart of the plans is a collection of new and enhanced facilities designed to enrich everyday life and provide more opportunities for residents to socialise, pursue interests and spend time with family and friends.

Residents will be able to enjoy a welcoming reception area, residents' shop, restaurant, bar, lounge and library, alongside private dining facilities for family occasions and celebrations. Carefully designed interiors and flexible communal spaces will support everything from informal coffee mornings and book clubs to larger social gatherings and events.

The aim is simple: to create spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable and sociable while offering residents choice in how they spend their time, whether that's meeting friends, enjoying a meal, reading quietly or joining village activities.

Wellbeing at the Centre of Village Life

The plans place wellbeing firmly at the heart of village life. New facilities are intended to support physical, emotional and social wellbeing, helping residents maintain active, connected and independent lifestyles.

Proposals include a dedicated wellbeing hub, gym, treatment rooms, salon and activity spaces, creating opportunities for residents to focus on fitness, relaxation and personal wellbeing without needing to leave the village. These facilities will complement the wider community offering and support residents in living well for longer

By combining high-quality new homes, enhanced communal facilities, beautiful outdoor spaces and a strong focus on wellbeing, sustainability and community, the vision is to create an even more vibrant and welcoming place to call home.

As Avon Park continues to evolve, the focus remains on supporting independent living, fostering meaningful connections and creating an environment where residents can enjoy life to the fullest, both now and for years to come.
