Celebrating in style
This Christmas our communities have been busy with a myriad of festive activities to get residents and teams in the mood for the big day. We’ve seen Christmas fayres come to communities for shopping, and we’ve had festive meals, singing, dancing plus the odd visit from the big man himself. Many communities were beautifully decorated with trees and lights.
At Thamesfield they hosted a Christmas light switch-on with canapes and champagne on the 1st of December.

A visit from Father Christmas
Our Debden Grange community kicked the season off with a well attended family lunch, including a visit from Father Christmas. Grandchildren were invited and offered the opportunity to ask Father Christmas for a gift and everyone received a present from his giant sack.
Some residents even got involved by sitting on Father Christmas’ knee too! It was a great family afternoon for all to enjoy in the community.
Let it snow
Many of our communities were treated to white scenes with snow falling just a week before Christmas. Residents at Castle Village and Charters Villages proved you’re never too old for a snowman and set to building some fantastic ones across the grounds.
In Gradwell Park, The Priory, Cedars Village, Charters Village and Avonpark Village residents were treated to a snowy landscape akin to a Christmas card. And at Lime Tree Village the pond froze over and residents saw some ducks take a go at ice staking!
Those last minute gifts
For residents that had gifts to buy Elmbridge Village, Roseland Parc and Charters Village all hosted Christmas craft fayres in December, featuring local handmade goods – perfect for that special and unique gift you can’t get anywhere else.
The events provided a great opportunity to get out and get into the festive mood. There was even mince pies and mulled wine for everyone to enjoy.
The gift of music
At Gittisham Hill Park residents had a very special treat. One of the residents, Pennie Stinton, who is an extremely talented Pianist treated the community to a concert. She played a number of classical Christmas tunes, the event was held in the community's hall, which with its high ceiling lent itself to a wonderful sound.
Keeping busy in the garden
Residents at Elmbridge Village didn't miss out on an opportunity to dress up Ben, the resident flower pot man. Hopefully, everyone has been good, and their very own Santa will be delivering presents to everyone!
