Award winning Lime Tree Village has welcomed a new village manager.

Malkit Sagoo will be overseeing the day to day operation of the village, which sits on the edge of Dunchurch near Rugby, and supporting residents and staff.

Malkit has almost two decades of experience in property and care having worked for a number of housing associations, a charitable trust and care home developers. He is now using his knowledge and skills to manage Lime Tree Village, a fully established retirement village with around 150 privately-owned homes for the over 55s.

He said: “The opportunity to manage a village, bringing together a lot of my past experience, was perfect. Lime Tree Village is a beautiful place to work and the residents have made me feel very welcome.”

Malkit, who lives in Coventry with his wife and two children, is looking forward to developing the relationship between Lime Tree Village and the wider community.

“Certainly in the future, with more care options due to be introduced here, I think it’s important that the village strengthens its ties with the community,” said Malkit. “I shall be working with the residents to do that in the months to come.”

Lime Tree Village is owned and operated by Retirement Villages Ltd. The company has 13 villages across the country and is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2011.
