nnChrissie Lord has been appointed village manager of Mayford Grange, bringing with her over 40 years of experience in the care sector.
The 62-year-old has worked for both public and private healthcare companies and is passionate about delivering quality and consistency through her work.
“It was the Retirement Villages ethos that first attracted me to the role. Improving residents’ quality of life is the company’s main aim and something I feel passionate about,” explained Chrissie.
“After spending my career focusing on clinical practice, working with independent retirees is new to me. Joining the team at Mayford Grange has been fantastic and residents have made me feel welcome and appreciated. There’s always something going on, it’s hard to keep up!
“My research into complementary therapies and nutrition helped introduce positive changes in my previous roles and I’m hoping this is something I can bring to my new position. Fundamentally though, I believe to achieve optimum quality of life for residents, a mix of environment and expertise is required. And Mayford Grange is fortunate to benefit from both,” she added.
