There is no denying moving is stressful, selling your property, packing a lifetime’s accumulation of belongings into boxes, sourcing a trustworthy removal company, the admin involved with changing address, sourcing new utility providers and the heartache of leaving somewhere full of memories can prove overwhelming.
But at Retirement Villages, we want to help ensure your journey through the buying and moving process is as stress free as possible. That is why we have brought together three services to help you:
Try Before You Buy
Try before you buy
We want you to make an informed decision so we encourage you to visit your preferred village for a free, no-obligation overnight stay. This enables you to get a real sense of retirement village life. You can experience the lifestyle whilst finding out more from existing residents to hear how they have embraced this retirement lifestyle.
Guests receive a warm welcome from our village manager or sales consultant and stay in one of our fully furnished show homes or guest suite apartments.(subject to availability at each location) Complimentary Continental breakfast is provided followed by a guided tour of the village and freedom to explore for yourself and chat to those living there.
It’s a great way to establish whether this is the life for you….
Selling your existing property to buy your new Retirement Villages one can take time – but our part exchange service, operated through Silverbridge Properties, removes any uncertainty by guaranteeing the sale of your existing home and the purchase of one of ours.
Silverbridge will obtain valuations for your existing property and an offer to purchase your home is made within 48 hours. If accepted, a survey is organised. Once completed, the offer is confirmed and solicitors instructed to proceed. Monies are exchanged on completion.
Moving house can be stressful, which is why we have partnered with The Senior Move Partnership, who will ensure your move is smooth and as stress free as possible.
They will assist with the planning, moving and settling in process. Whatever help is required to assist is provided – from checking furniture fits your new home to compiling an inventory of all your furnishings and where you want them to helping with the disposal of unwanted items.
Practical help like sorting utility services, reading meters, change of address notifications and generally being on hand to help on moving day can prove invaluable. They will even help with your unpacking and setting up your new home.
