The National Care Awards 2017 has named one of Retirement Village’s longest serving Matrons Wendy Eltze as a finalist for it’s prestigious Lifetime Achievement in Care Award.
Wendy recently retired after dedicating 19 years of her life to Thamesfield Village and the residents living there.
Wendy’s fellow colleagues nominated her for the award and they as well as everyone at Retirement Villages were thrilled to hear she had been shortlisted as a finalist.
The Lifestyle Achievement in Care Award will be made to an exceptional person who has committed a significant portion of their life to working in a care home, or in social care, in the community or in sheltered housing, and has made a substantial difference to the quality of life of the people they have worked with.
The awards take place in London on November 24th where the winner of the Lifetime Achievement in Care Award will be announced. Everyone at Thamesfield Village and Retirement Villages wish Wendy the best of luck.
