We are delighted to welcome another key member to our People and Culture team – Learning and Development manager Eileen Saw.
Originally from Malaysia, Eileen has built a career in People and Culture, focussing on learning and development, as well as talent management.
Having worked mostly in the banking and education sectors, one of Eileen’s biggest achievements has included designing and launching a new Management Trainee programme, where she onboarded over 50 exceptional graduates and saw them progress into managerial roles.
She said: “Two areas that I am most passionate about are ‘Succession Planning’ and developing young talents with the potential to change the way we live today and in the future.
“Talent development should never be addressed with a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution. I believe that each employee is unique with diverse skills, competencies and career aspirations. Therefore, their growth and learning interventions should also be distinct, yet personalised.”
Eileen moved to the UK in 2019 and spent a year with EcoWorld London as a senior HR advisor – supporting the team on training, recruitment, performance management and other HR operational matters.
She added: “I am very excited to join Retirement Villages Group and help steer the workforce towards their ambition of creating vibrant communities across the portfolio.”
In her free time, Eileen is a self-taught calligrapher, specialising in the Copperplate script. Apart from being commissioned for events, she also enjoyed teaching Calligraphy to new enthusiasts.
