Back in 1997, friends Ed and Dale set out with a bold idea: to make the best prepared meals on the market while doing business differently. Inspired by Ed’s mum’s batch-cooked family dinners, they began creating dishes that tasted every bit as good as home cooking. Nearly three decades later, COOK has grown into a thriving business with over 110 shops across the UK, three kitchens in Kent, a puddings kitchen in Somerset, and shelves in hundreds of independent shops.

COOK isn’t your typical ready-meal company. Every dish is prepared by hand using trusted British ingredients, then carefully frozen to lock in the flavour. From sourcing and cooking to packing and selling, they’re involved every step of the way, which is rare in the food industry. They also offer a 30% discount for community events, from over-60s’ lunches to charity fundraisers. COOK is still proudly independent and family-run. Ed now leads the company alongside his sister Rosie, and together they continue to build on the values that shaped COOK from day one: quality, care, and community.
