Thrive Living in Elstree
Following extensive engagement with the planning team at Hertsmere Borough Council, local stakeholders and the community, Thrive Living by Retirement Villages Group, has been granted approval to develop an integrated retirement community in Elstree.

The decision, which was confirmed at a full planning committee meeting on Thursday 20 February 2025, means that the site can now be prepared for a new, much needed integrated retirement community of 141 homes with extra care, comprising a mix of apartments and cottages. A range of facilities and amenities focussed on wellbeing and community and designed specifically for people aged 65 and over, form a central component. Homes will be available to buy and rent.
The new community will be fully net zero, highlighting RVG’s sector-leading commitment to sustainability, the environment and biodiversity.
The Thrive Living team is also eager to build on the existing community engagement programme, encouraging local people to become involved in this exciting new part
