Meet Suzie, Sales Manager at The Willowbury

We recently sat down with Suzie to learn more about what inspires her, what she’s passionate about, and what she’s most looking forward to at The Willowbury.

A Wealth of Experience in Property

Suzie has been a Sales Manager with Retirement Villages Group for over nine years. The Willowbury will be her third site, and having returned to two of the Group’s classic villages during her time with RVG, she brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the later living offering.

The Willowbury will also be her first development within the Thrive Living collection, and she is very much looking forward to meeting and becoming part of the West Malling community.

Suzie's role at The Willowbury

Her focus is on guiding customers through one of life’s biggest transitions, moving into a vibrant, supportive community. She works closely with her colleague Helen to provide a personalised and reassuring experience for every client, helping them navigate what can sometimes feel like a daunting process with confidence and ease.

As she explains, “What drives me most is seeing the positive impact this move has on wellbeing — whether that’s trying new activities, making new friends, or rediscovering passions.”

What drives me most is seeing the positive impact this move has on wellbeing. From trying new activities, making new friends, or rediscovering passions.

The Joy of Seeing People Thrive

She says the real joy she finds in her role comes from seeing residents’ wellbeing improve and watching them try things they never imagined they would be able to do.

As she reflects, “The real joy I get from my role lies in seeing residents’ wellbeing improve and watching them try things they never imagined they would be able to do.”

One memory that stands out to her is of a couple who were both Tai Chi Masters and had previously taught hundreds of students. He believed they might never teach again, yet they now run a weekly class at one of the communities, inspiring others to embrace movement and mindfulness.

From Fashion Dreams to Shaping New Chapters

Growing up, she always dreamed of becoming a fashion designer or buyer inspired by her lifelong love of jackets and scarves.

While her career has taken a different path, that same passion for creativity and personal expression now carries through in her role at The Willowbury. She is particularly excited about helping to shape a brand-new community and sharing in each resident’s journey as they settle in.

As she explains, “What excites me most about The Willowbury is the opportunity to help shape a new community and share in every resident’s story. Every tale told is a lesson learned.” She looks forward to supporting residents as they begin their next chapter with Thrive.
