Meet Carol, Sales Manager at The Wyldewoods

We recently sat down with Carol to learn more about what inspires her, what she’s passionate about, and what she’s most looking forward to at The Wyldewoods.

A Friendly Face at Every Step

Carol is the Sales Manager at The Wyldewoods Retirement Village, where she plays a key role in guiding people through one of life’s biggest decisions, finding the right place to call home.

With over 25 years of experience in New Home Sales, Carol brings both expertise and a reassuring presence to every interaction. From the first enquiry to village tours and throughout the moving process, she ensures that each step feels clear, comfortable, and well-supported.

“I help people and their families take that next big step—finding a new home and community that truly feels right,” Carol explains. “My aim is always to make the experience smooth, reassuring, and positive.”

A Career with Purpose

After decades in the housing industry, Carol felt drawn to something more meaningful. Moving into retirement living was a natural next step—one that aligned with her desire to make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

“When I saw the opportunity to work in retirement living, I was drawn to it immediately,” she says. “I wanted to help people enjoy a meaningful chapter of life, rather than feeling lonely or unsupported.”

Her work is deeply personal, too. With both of her parents aged 87 and 91, Carol has a first-hand understanding of the realities of ageing and the importance of making the right move at the right time. “I understand what ageing means—for them, for families, and for those making this life-changing decision,” she shares. “It helps me approach every conversation with empathy and patience.”

I know how challenging these transitions can be. That’s why I take the time to really listen and support each person in a way that feels right for them.

Creating a Sense of Belonging

What Carol enjoys most about her role is the people she meets along the way. Every story is different, and every journey is unique.

“I love meeting new people and hearing their stories,” she says. “It’s such a privilege to help someone find a place where they feel safe, supported, and excited about what comes next.”

For Carol, retirement living is about so much more than just a property, it’s about creating a lifestyle that offers both independence and connection.

“Retirement living isn’t just about a home, it’s about freedom, connection, peace of mind, and truly enjoying your later years.”

Life Beyond Work

Outside of her role, Carol’s world revolves around family and friends. She cherishes time with her two young grandchildren and her parents, making the most of every moment together.

She also enjoys socialising and making memories, whether that’s attending concerts, dining out, enjoying a drink at the pub, or heading off on weekend trips with friends.
