Meet Angela, Sales consultant at The Wyldewoods

We recently sat down with Angela to learn more about what inspires her, what she’s passionate about, and what she’s most looking forward to at The Wyldewoods.

Helping New Residents Feel at Home at The Wyldewoods

At The Wyldewoods, Sales Consultant Angela plays an important role in helping people begin their journey into village life.

From showing prospective residents around the apartments to answering the many questions that naturally come with moving home, Angela is there to guide and support every step of the way. For her, the most rewarding moment comes after the move. seeing new residents settle in, make friends and embrace their new lifestyle. As Angela often says, many residents quickly realise they wish they’d made the move sooner.

Turning a Big Move Into an Exciting New Chapter

One of the things Angela loves most about her role is helping people transform what can feel like a stressful decision into something positive and exciting.

Seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they realise village life can be easier — and actually a lot of fun — is incredibly fulfilling. She also values the strong sense of teamwork across the village, where everyone plays their part in creating a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive community for residents.

I’ve had my eyes opened to retirement villages. I think the UK still has a little way to go to change the mindset that retirement can be fun and stress-free.

The Joy of Seeing People Thrive

Working at The Wyldewoods has given Angela a fresh perspective on retirement living. She believes there is still some way to go in the UK when it comes to changing the mindset around retirement communities.

Watching residents enjoy their independence, pursue new interests and make the most of each day has been eye-opening. Without the pressures of home maintenance or gardening, residents are free to focus on the things they enjoy — whether that’s socialising, learning new skills or simply making the most of their time.

Life Outside of Work

When she’s not at work, Angela spends much of her time doing what she loves most: anything involving food. Cooking, baking and entertaining friends are some of her favourite ways to relax, often combined with meals out and social gatherings.

She also has a passion for interior design and enjoys making soft furnishings and curtains — sometimes for friends as well as for her own home. And when she’s not indoors, you’ll likely find Angela out walking her energetic German pointer, George, who is usually busy chasing squirrels.

Above all, Angela believes in the power of laughter:
“A day without laughter is a day wasted.”
