Plans for our next proposed village in the sought-after Surrey town Virginia Water will be unveiled at a public exhibition in the town on Wednesday (February 8th).

If planning permission is successful, this next multi million pound investment for the company will include a continuing care retirement community of up to 130 two bedroom cottages and apartments, a communal clubhouse and a minimum 40-bed care home.

The 10-acre site sits on land on the southern edge of Stroude, to the east of Virginia Water, and has been highlighted as an area for a specialist retirement development.

As well as private retirement properties and a care home, village facilities for residents will comprise: function room, lounge with library recess and bar, dining room and server, exercise room, meeting and treatment rooms, hairdressers, shop/kiosk, manager, staff and domiciliary care offices.

“This represents a further exciting addition to our current development programme,” explained Jami Puckering, Land and Planning Director for Retirement Villages Group (RVG).

“A key characteristic of our villages is their prime locality. Virginia Water is no exception. This is an outstanding area of the UK where we have identified a need for private retirement properties and a high quality care offering.”

RVG will be looking to submit an outline application to Runnymede Borough Council once views of local stakeholders have been sought.
