Bobbie Thornton is the latest addition to Moat Park’s management team, taking on the central role as Assistant Village Manager for Maynard House – the collection of 26 brand new apartments, designed for independent living.

Although the job position is a new role for Moat Park, Bobbie herself is no stranger to Retirement Villages Group Ltd. Bobbie previously worked for Retirement Villages for two years in an administrative role and left in November 2014, before returning in July 2015 to take on her new role.

Bobbie Thornton said: “I really enjoyed my employment with Retirement Villages. I strongly believe in RV’s ethos of village life, which offers security for the residents. My role as Assistant Village Manager will be very proactive – life at Moat Park’s Maynard House is independent but Retirement Villages recognises that the residents need a face and point of call to turn to, should they have any queries.”

“I’m really looking forward to being the point of liaison for the residents as well as supporting Sharon with the day-to-day running of Maynard House.”

Sharon Thompson, Village Manager: “Bobbie is the ideal person for the role and will be a key member of the community. Not only does Bobbie already know about life at Moat Park, but her previous experience of working in a care home, as well as a college lecturer teaching hairdressing, will certainly provide the necessary people skills and approachable persona needed for such a central role. I’m very much looking forward to working with Bobbie.”
