Lime Tree Village, our retirement community for the over 55s in Dunchurch, near Rugby, Warwickshire, is celebrating its 10th birthday this summer.
It seems only yesterday that work began on refurbishing Cawston House, the Edwardian country mansion at the centre of the village and now home of the village’s many communal facilities.
We had a task on our hands sourcing furnishings and accessories to match the Edwardian era but the finishing results look wonderful. The grandmother clock at the bottom of the main stairs is still a colourful talking point, as is the striking wallpaper in the residents’ bar.
The village includes private cottages, bungalows and apartments, many set within tranquil courtyards. There is a village pond at the centre of the village, woodland walks and a croquet lawn leading out from the Cawston House terrace.
Mr and Mrs Alan and Margery Redfern were Lime Tree’s very first residents. They share their memories with us here.
Find out more about our Warwickshire private retirement village as it celebrates its first decade.
We have planning permission to extend this village, carefully adding further properties as a natural extension, and providing even more living options. More details will be announced soon.
DON’T MISS: Two of our home counties villages are hosting open days this month.
More details of the special events at Elmbridge Village in Surrey and Thamesfield in Henley-on-Thames, are on our open day events page. Don’t miss out.
Welcome to Retirement Villages Group Ltd. We hope you find our website informative and useful to you.
We also hope it inspires you to want to get in touch and find out more about this increasingly popular lifestyle option for yourself, a relative or friend. We will be only too pleased to help.
We are proud to say we now have 14 villages in our portfolio. Each one is very distinctive from the next but all provide the same equally high property specifications, a wide range of facilities and leisure amenities, impeccable service levels delivered by our teams of staff, and varyng levels of care support to suit your needs, now or in the future, including our own domiciliary care service.
Whether you are looking for an apartment, a bungalow or a cottage, in a beautiful setting, our villages can provide this, and yet so much more…….
We always maintain that while we design and build our villages, it is the residents who bring them to life. A retirement villages’ lifestyle allows you to do what you choose to do, not what you have to do. We take care of the day to day chores while you get on and simply enjoy your days, in the peace and tranquillity of your own private retirement home, or within the wider village setting at a village social event or outing.
And we should know, our company has been building villages for more than 30 years. We were responsible for bringing the retirement village model to the UK in the early 1980s when we opened the first of our retirement communities, Elmbridge Village in Cranleigh, Surrey. We now have an extended family of 14 villages, all located in the southern half of the UK, spread across 11 counties.
Our model allows you to own your own property in a retirement village, keeping an investment in the residential property market while having access to care and support where available.
Whether you are familiar with the retirement villages concept or just starting your exploration of the living options available to you, this website will help you discover more about our villages, our properties, our care services, our lifestyle and our residents.
There are plenty of ways to find out more too. You can call us, request a brochure, come for a visit, drop into an event or have an e-newsletter delivered to your inbox. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.
