A special Remembrance Service

Diary posted

20th November 2017

The Priory held a Remembrance Service on Saturday 11th November. A number of residents at this village have military backgrounds and many lost relatives in the two World Wars.

To commemorate such a day, each resident made a poppy which were then used to create a large bespoke Poppy Wreath. It was a real joint effort by males and females alike; crochet, knitting, embroidery, enamelling, painted canvas, felt and ribbon work were all used to create this beautiful wreath.

Well done to everyone involved.
