Residents at Roseland Parc began their festive proceedings this year with a Christmas Fair, held at the village.

In a season renowned for ‘giving’ and ‘good will’, residents, guests, staff and local businesses dug deep to help raise £680.00 for local charities: Marias Animal Shelter in Probus, and a food bank in Truro.

The money was raised via a raffle, tombola stall, and a water and wine stall – which proved to be really popular. After paying one pound a wrapped bottle was chosen at random, which when opened, was either a bottle of wine or a bottle of water.

The raffle was won by local lady Julie Allan, from Tregony village. She won a food hamper, which contained a large selection of goods, all donated by residents and local businesses.

The event was a fantastic success and the large amount of money raised was a testament to the hard work of all the people involved.
