Moat Park, Christmas Tree, Retirement VillagesIt’s not easy being a patient or visiting a loved in hospital over the festive period but Retirement Villages is helping to spread Christmas cheer.

After hearing that the Time Garden at Colchester Hospital was without a Christmas tree, the team at Moat Park, in Great Easton, thought this was the perfect gesture to show their support for such an appreciated service.

In true Christmas spirit, Moat Park have provided the Hospital with a Christmas tree for the Time Garden which is a calming, relaxing and well-used space by patients and families receiving palliative care.

The tree sits in the arc, an outside private area where families can go to for their personal time. Although under-resourced, it’s an amazing space that is loved by everyone that’s had to use it.

Moat Park’s Village Manager Kerriann Brill said: “When I heard that the palliative care team did not have a tree this Christmas, we just had to step in and show our support for such a valuable service.”
