On Thursday, 1st September the residents of Lime Tree Village held a special coffee morning to give a vote of thanks to our senior nurse, Sian Liscombe, and to bid farewell to Malvenia Richmond, our village manager.
Sian has been the senior nurse here for the past four years and was much appreciated for her caring and approachable manner. Luckily she has agreed to remain as a member of the bank staff.
Malvenia had worked at Lime Tree Village since it opened in 2004. She was assistant manager until 2013 when she became village manager. She proved an excellent manager, having the interests of the village at heart. She promoted good cooperation between residents and staff, making Lime Tree Village a very pleasant place to live.
Luckily it was a warm sunny day as, owing to the alterations and extensions to our central facilities, the event was held in our large marquee in the village grounds and the usual coffee and biscuits became wine and nibbles.
