Residents at Lime Tree Village were invited to share their thoughts on plans to improve facilities in the main house and on The Polo Field at a special exhibition recently (March 23).
Directors and senior managers from Retirement Villages were on hand to talk residents through plans to build apartments and provide additional communal facilities on The Polo Field.
In addition, plans were unveiled to extend the sun room in Cawston House and build a meeting room extension to provide improved facilities for residents. A lobby area is to be created at the rear entrance to Cawston House (opposite the bar) and a proposal to move the library to replace the snooker room upstairs was also tabled.
Those attending were reminded that all the plans were of course subject to planning permissions being granted.
Residents were invited to offer their own feedback on the plans directly to Retirement Villages as part of the public consultation process for the proposed projects. The feedback will be included in documentation provided to the local planning authority.
The event was very well attended by residents and ran from midday to 4pm with exhibition boards and plans available for viewing. Residents were encouraged to fill in questionnaires/feedback forms and leave them in a box provided.
