Lime Tree Village, Dunchurch

Throughout the summer a variety of outdoor games were played at Lime Tree Village, both for fun and by those who wished to compete in the competitions. The finals were played in mid September and on Saturday, 15th September the annual presentations were made at a Sports Presentation Night after a delicious meal in the restaurant.

The winners were as follows:

Bowls

Iris Hunter won the bowls singles trophy having won every match!

The bowls doubles shield was won by Kath Dixon and Philip Broadbent.

Croquet

Iris Hunter and Frank Allanson won the doubles and Frank also won the singles.

Putting

Roy Scotton and Reg Stubbs won the doubles putting competition, with Tony Hoffamn winning the singles competition.

The residents who enjoyed the summer games were very thankful to the competition organisers without whom the competitions would not have taken place, with thanks going to Judith Carter (putting), John Crompton (croquet) and Kath Dixon (bowling).

Well done to the winners and everyone who took part to make it a wonderful summer of sport at the village!
