Plenty of things to do
The Retirement Villages’ objective is to ensure that all residents enjoy a fulfilling retirement lifestyle. For some that could mean simply taking it easy and doing very little; for others it could mean trying new things and being at the heart of social networks. At Elmbridge Village, the range of facilities makes it possible for residents to do as they choose.
The completion of the new Elmbridge Manor will enhance existing facilities for residents’ exclusive use to include a main hall – ideal for concerts and major events; a new restaurant, private dining room and kitchen, bar and lounge, multi-purpose function room and further meeting rooms, a library, shop and surgery.
The restaurant, with delicious food cooked in-house by village chef Mandy Dodson, is open daily for lunch.
Outdoor activities and facilities are clearly weather dependent but when the sun shines there are opportunities for residents to try their hand at croquet, and putting. Table tennis and bowls is available indoors and there is also a very active allotments group at Elmbridge.
There are dozens of regular social groups, events, activities and trips to get involved in, but of course, none of these are obligatory. For some residents, just the chance to live in a beautifully designed home, surrounded by a community of like-minded people gives them the peace of mind to enjoy their own space and freedom.
