Spring has well and truly sprung at Elmbridge

Diary posted

23rd April 2018

Elmbridge residents have certainly been embracing the lighter afternoons and evenings now Spring has arrived. The croquet lawn has been beautifully looked after by the talented grounds team throughout the Winter and is now in great condition for play. And it seems battle has already commenced, with residents pictured enjoying a spot of croquet on a sunny April afternoon.

Likewise on the edge of the village, the allotments are also benefitting from the Spring sunshine. Lots of digging, planting (and laughter) can be witnessed from this area of the village during the Spring and Summer months and it’s wonderful to see the results of the hard efforts of our talented green fingered residents in these photos.

There are still a few allotments available if you would like to join this happy band of gardeners.

Looking ahead to May and it’s certainly going to be a busy month with a ‘Best of British’ supper evening, a ‘Half-way to Christmas’ themed lunch, a music concert, bingo, book club, croquet and luncheon club all bound to be popular activities on the social calendar.
