Residents at Elmbridge Village enjoyed the choral delights of the RYKKIO School Choir this December. In fact, this is the 12th year in a row that the choir has visited the village and is a firm favourite for residents and the students alike.
The school is local to the village and the children who are all boarders, enjoyed the annual trip to the village, which always takes place on their last school day.
Three large coaches of students, along with three minibuses of teachers arrived at the village where they performed traditional Christmas carols, sung in English and Japanese.
The school vicar also came along and performed a blessing.
Keith Henesey, village manager said: “The school always give a fabulous performance which is thoroughly enjoyed by our residents and staff. The students enjoy it as much as we do too – it’s their way of giving back to the local community.”
