Debden Grange, Retirement Villages

After breaking ground in September, Debden Grange Retirement Village in Newport, Essex, is beginning to take shape.

The building work is divided into two phases: by next Spring seven two-bedroom cottages will be completed and are already available for sale off plan and the entire village is due for completion in 2020.

The first phase is moving along very quickly with work already well underway. The roofs are now on, solar panels have been fitted and all the building work is progressing swiftly.

The retirement village, located near the M11 in Newport, will consist of 17 two-bedroom cottages, 64 one and two-bedroom apartments with an optional domiciliary care service if required and a dedicated 40-bed care home, for those that require extra support.

The focal point of the village will be the communal clubhouse, Debden Grange Lodge; which comprises of a bar, restaurant, reading area and meeting room. The clubhouse will host many of the events, clubs and activities that the thriving new community organises.

With all the building work, carried out by retirement construction specialists Castleoak, moving so speedily, Debden Grange could even be on track for an early competition date!
