Plenty to do at Charters

Retirement Villages wants all residents to enjoy a fulfilling retirement lifestyle. For some that could mean taking it easy and doing very little; for others it could mean trying new things and being at the heart of social networks. At Charters Village, the range of facilities makes it possible for residents to do as they choose.

Heart of the village

The heart of village life is the eye-catching Charters Towers – the former Bush Davies School of Dance – that sits proudly overlooking the lovely landscaped grounds complete with carefully nurtured nature walks.

The galleried main hall in the house, complete with sweeping staircase, transports you back in time and provides a wonderful backdrop for an afternoon tea or morning coffee. There is also a sun room and well-stocked library next to the main lounge plus a meeting room – venue for some of the village’s burgeoning special interest clubs and societies – run by the residents for the residents.

The bar and bistro area lead into the conservatory – which in turn leads on to a sun terrace – and there is also a small convenience shop for everyday essentials.

Residents also make full use of the games lawn and pavilion during the warmer weather which also plays host to barbecues during the summer.

The village is surrounded by mature woodland and wildflower meadows have been nurtured to create peaceful pockets for quiet strolls.

For complete peace of mind, a 24/7 emergency response service is available managed by onsite staff.
