Residents at Charters Village never fall short of something to do and the past month was as typically busy.
Villagers have been enjoying regular film Fridays, with a variety of films shown to suit everyone’s taste. The final showing of this year will be a musical, The Importance of Being Earnest, on Friday 14th December.
A villager enabled staff and residents to relive their experiences earlier in the year when he presented his film about their trip to Holland. Everyone enjoyed reminiscing about the wonderful time that they had, with some attendees seeing more in the presentation than they managed at the time. The evening was complete with refreshments whilst everybody relived the trip.
Villagers enjoyed another one of Peter Griffiths’ fascinating talks where he discussed an insight into a certain ‘way of life’. Peter also provided his listeners with information on the skills of piloting many different aircrafts. The evening was nicely finished off with a social gathering which included food and drinks.
A trip to Tunbridge wells took place after a tasty all-day breakfast served in the Bistro. All attendees hugely enjoyed the day out where everyone spectated an excellent show.
Charters Village residents are preparing their calendars for an array of Christmas activities, including a quiz night, a carol concert and Christmas bingo!
Everyone at the retirement village wishes popular resident Mike R. a very happy 90th birthday, on 4th December. Mike generously celebrated by treating the residents to a pre-paid Christmas dinner.
The social activities at Charters Village in East Grinstead, West Sussex, are always good fun and the residents will be tying up 2018 with a New Year’s Eve Party.
