Create your own retirement lifestyle
The Retirement Villages’ objective is to ensure that all residents enjoy a fulfilling retirement lifestyle. For some that could mean simply taking it easy and doing very little; for others it could mean trying new things and being at the heart of social networks. At Cedars Village, the range of facilities makes it possible for residents to do as they choose.
The heart of village life is the eye-catching Grade II Mansion House that sits proudly overlooking the lovely landscaped grounds that are peppered with paths and walks.
The most iconic room in the building is the two-storey Victorian conservatory which is used extensively by residents during warmer months to read; enjoy a cup of tea; or simply enjoy the peace of retirement.
Residents are also able to enjoy a meal in the ground floor restaurant or a drink with friends in the bar.
The well-stocked library is also a popular attraction and there are plenty of areas within the Mansion House for residents to sit, read and relax.
Bus stop in the village
There is also a large meeting room/ballroom for social functions and a hobbies room and snooker room for those wanting more active pastimes.
The retirement village has its own bus stop and sits around a mile from the centre of Chorleywood, which has a good mix of shops and a railway station with underground and mainline links.
Cedars Village is one of the most established within the Retirement Villages’ portfolio and the social calendar is testament to the thriving retirement community that exists.
There are dozens of regular social groups, events, activities and trips to get involved in, but of course, none of these are obligatory. For some residents, just the chance to live in a beautifully designed home, surrounded by a community of like-minded people gives them the peace of mind to enjoy their own space and freedom.
