Richard Pinner Magician

On Tuesday 16 May Richard Pinner, magician extraordinaire and vice president of the Magic Circle, performed for residents and their families at Cedars in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, raising more than £300.

Richard’s mother is resident June Gladwell. Her late husband Peter, Richard’s father, also used to live in our community but sadly passed away from cancer in September 2015.

Peter was a famous magician himself, going by the stage name Peter Pinner. He was a great inspiration to Richard, who decided to follow in his father’s footsteps.

Richard was successful and now performs at Cedars annually to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, this being his third year running.

Dedicating the show to his father, Richard showcased a range of card and rope tricks whilst blindfolded to the audience’s amazement. Assisting him was his colleague from the Magic Circle, Katherine Rhodes.

We sold sixty tickets for the show, donating the proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Support. Additional contributions made by generous residents brought the total raised to over £300.
