Cedars residents took advantage of British Pie Week (2-8 March) enjoying a mouth-watering selection of pies all cooked up by the village chef and team.
According to Jus-Rol who came up with the celebratory day, around 75% of us enjoy a pie at least once a month, whether that’s sweet or savoury.
Residents could choose from a selection of delicious home-made pies including veggie shepherd’s pie topped with creamy mash potato, corned beef, carrot and onion pie, and flaky filo chicken and ham pie, all served with chips or new potatoes and peas!
For pudding, if there was still room, residents were also able to enjoy homemade citron pie with raspberries or crumble and cream.
This enticing menu was thoroughly enjoyed by residents and their friends, who spent a sociable lunchtime together.
